Project Linus Selkirk Chapter
If you have heard of Project Linus and wondered what it is about read on.
Project Linus is a national non-profit group of volunteers whose goal, is to provide blankets to children in need.
- Blankets can be knitted, crocheted, sewn or quilted
- We partner with organizations and supply our blankets to them on a regular basis
- The Selkirk Chapter meets once a month, excluding the summer months
The mission provides
- Children who are seriously ill, traumatized or in a difficult situation with a new, handmade washable blanket that is theirs to keep
- Provide volunteers with a rewarding service opportunity. It provides a chance for socialization and to share their talents or learn a new skill, for the benefit of children.
This is a very worthwhile cause and if you have the time and desire please contact and join, to help those in need.
